You are your business and it is important to make knowing yourself, your business for personal and professional growth.Whether you are an established business owner, entrepreneur or just starting out, this workshop is suitable for everyone, regardless of sector.

The session will be a journey of self-exploration to increase awareness and attain insight to understand what is holding you back.

I’m Fine - Youth Edition

I was asked to deliver my I’m Fine - workshop and discussion to 6th formers at Lilian Baylis Technology School in South London, 2017. The workshop and discussion was youth focussed, centering on issues on stress, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic syndrome. The aim was to highlight facts and myths about mental health, show them how they can access their feelings and what to do to reduce anxiety and stress and where to go for additional help.

I’m Fine - Workshop and Discussion

Q. “How are you?

A. “I’m Fine”

How many times have you said this to others when you were far from fine? “I’m fine” for many is a statement that masks how they really feel. Stigma, shame, cultural beliefs and unawareness, are all potential reasons as to why some people choose to not reveal what is really go on. Statistics show, one in four people are likely to suffer from a Mental Health issue within a given year, I personally think it is more than this because Mental Health is life and anything from a break-up, bereavement or stress can have a negative impact on mood and behaviour.

The aim of this workshop, which took place in 2016 at Virgin Money Lounge, was to have an open discussion around the saying “I’m fine,” when you know or feel you are not.

Explore what do you REALLY want to say, when you say I’m fine? What are the barriers around talking to someone? What do you need to do for better self-care?

We all have patterns and once we see them and understand them, we can begin to make better decisions. This event, especially the workshop was designed to nudge, motivate, encourage and urge you to continue in spite of self-doubt, fear and lack of belief. You have to Push Through, to Break Through.
