Work Reimagined: A virtual festival to kickstart 2021

Good mental fitness is an important business asset in its own right.

On 20th January 2021, I Joined bestselling author Dr Anastasia Dedyukhina and Mark Allan, Commercial Director, BUPA to discuss the future of mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Themes I discussed: HR, people management, Self-awareness, Self-Responsibility, the work environment, capability of managers, the future of technology and wellbeing.

Jacaranda Twenty in 2020 Online Book Festival

On 7th December, I joined my fellow romance writers Sareeta Domingo (If I Don’t Have You), Rasheda Ashanti Malcolm (Love Again) and Maame Blue (Bad Love) to discuss representation in romance writing and the importance of creating a space for Black women to explore love, romance and sexuality.

Chaired by Victoria Sanusi.

Themes I discussed: Black Love, representations, diverse voices, Identity, belonging, creative license, fantasy and reality.

Celebrating Blackness

In partnership with Belovd Agency, Jess Mally and I created and delivered a successful 2-hour seminar to Dennis Publishing as part of their DEI training.

Themes: Celebration, recognition, past and present, identity and belonging, awareness, the benefits of a diverse workforce.

I created and delivered a bespoke keynote speech to Dennis Publishing as part of their D&I initiatives.

Themes: The importance of diversity, shifting narratives, representation, identity, unconscious bias, blocks, creating meaningful change.
